Refund and Cancellation Policy

We are committed to providing high-quality online educational services and ensuring a fair and transparent experience for all learners, parents, guardians, schools, and corporate partners. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms that apply to subscriptions, payments, cancellations, and refunds.

By subscribing to UMA Learning, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.


2. Subscription Plans

UMA Learning offers subscription-based access to its online learning platform.

Our subscriptions may include:

  • Individual learner subscriptions
  • Family subscriptions (where applicable)
  • School licences
  • Corporate-sponsored learner licences

Subscription fees are billed in advance and provide access to the platform for the selected billing period.


3. Monthly Subscription

The standard UMA Learning subscription fee is:

R250 per learner per month

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.


4. Free Trial (If Applicable)

Where a free trial is offered:

  • No payment is required during the trial period unless stated otherwise.
  • Once the trial expires, the subscription will automatically begin unless cancelled beforehand.

5. Cancellation Policy

Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time.

Cancellation can be requested by:

Once cancelled:

  • Access to the platform will continue until the end of the current paid subscription period.
  • No future subscription payments will be charged after the cancellation becomes effective.

6. Refund Policy

As UMA Learning provides immediate access to digital educational content, subscription payments are generally non-refundable.

Refunds will only be considered under exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Incorrect billing caused by a system error
  • Charges made after a valid cancellation request
  • Technical issues that permanently prevent access to the platform and cannot be resolved by our technical support team

Each refund request will be reviewed individually.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 7–14 business days using the original payment method where possible.


7. No Partial Refunds

UMA Learning does not provide partial refunds for:

  • Unused subscription time
  • Failure to use the platform
  • Change of mind
  • Dissatisfaction after accessing learning content
  • Early cancellation during a billing cycle

8. School and Corporate Accounts

Subscriptions purchased by schools, organisations, sponsors, or corporate partners are governed by the terms contained in the signed service agreement.

Refunds for institutional licences will only be considered in accordance with the relevant agreement.


9. Failed or Missed Payments

If a subscription payment cannot be processed:

  • Platform access may be suspended.
  • Access will be restored once payment has been successfully received.
  • UMA Learning reserves the right to cancel inactive subscriptions after repeated unsuccessful payment attempts.

11. Changes to Subscription Pricing

UMA Learning reserves the right to change subscription pricing.

Subscribers will receive reasonable notice before any price changes become effective.

Price changes will not affect the current billing period.

UMA Learning may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on our website.

Continued use of the platform after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
